You tell us what you need
Cleaning, tidying, batch cooking, laundry, shopping, checking on an elderly parent – or a mix of everything. You choose the days, times and what you’d like to pay.
HomeHelpLocal connects you with trusted neighbours and local pros for the little things that keep a home running – cleaning, tidying, shopping, light care and more.

Your request goes to pre-approved helpers who live or work nearby. They can accept, decline or suggest a small tweak to your budget if the job is bigger than it sounds.
Check their first name, short bio and ratings. When you’re happy, agree a time and pay them directly once the job’s done.
HomeHelpLocal is for all the light-to-medium jobs that keep a home running. Think “good neighbour with time and skills”, not nurses or nurses’ replacements.
Important: HomeHelpLocal is for light home help and companionship only. Helpers are not nurses, carers or cleaners regulated by the CQC. We don’t provide medical care, personal washing or lifting.
You always set your own budget. These are typical UK guide ranges for light home-help work. Heavier cleaning, evenings or weekends may cost more.
£12 – £18 / hour
Quick tidy, washing up, bins, simple tasks.
£15 – £22 / hour
Bathrooms, hoovering, mopping, bedding, laundry.
£18 – £28 / visit

Remember: fair offers attract the best helpers. Set your number too low and you may get fewer replies. Set it fair, and you’re likely to find people keen to help and come back regularly.
If you’re organised, friendly and like looking after people and places, you can turn that into extra income with flexible work that fits around your life.
